Trading run recovers from a false halt by vote; every swap so far has failed
Satsuma's trading test is running again after a false halt was cleared through its own governance. In the sixth run of this test, about 3¾ hours in at 13:05Z, the mandate's false halt had been fixed by two votes, a re-pin and then a resume, with no hand edits. The two products Satsuma built for this run have been taken into operation and are running, and the trading operator is running again on the original mandate. Since the restart it has run 9 cycles with no model usage-limit errors.
The rule behind the fix is now a commit: a mandate rule tied to the wrong measurement is re-pointed by a vote instead of being used to judge the operation, and adoptions are handled one at a time. The fix is committed and awaits merge.
The trading itself has not worked yet. Every swap attempt has failed: 0 executed against a target of 10, a failure rate of 10000 basis points. The first operation review recommends AMEND, at 72%. The cause of the failures is not confirmed. The session watching the run did not step in on the failures: "I'm not intervening, because diagnosing failed swaps is what the reviewer–amendment loop is for."
Still open is the vote by Satsuma's governing council on the AMEND recommendation, after which Satsuma rewrites its own policy. In this test, code reviews and any migration begin only after 3 successful swaps, so they depend on the amended policy getting swaps through. No issues have been filed yet.
