Telegram digest and YouTube shorts handed to a new app, with fallbacks

engineering.satsuma.one posts a morning digest of the engineering work to its Telegram channel and turns each published update into a short video on YouTube. Both jobs have run on a Node pipeline. This work hands them to a new app, called Composition in the commits, and keeps the Node pipeline as a fallback for each. In a Claude Code session, Claude made the changes as commits on a branch and opened them for review in the satsuma-engineering repository.

For the digest, the app writes and posts the message itself. "It records the post in the same file the Node pipeline checks, so a day is never posted twice." For the shorts, the app makes the script, the render, the reel copy and the YouTube upload. All four destinations sign in from the app through connection checks that send nothing.

Running the app's shorts lane once for real on today's newest update was considered and dropped: the Node pipeline had already made a short for every update published today, so a run would have duplicated one on YouTube. The first real test is the next published update getting its short from the app. The order of handover was also settled: the Telegram digest first, then the shorts uploads, then the writing and judging of updates once agreement on those builds.

Both changes were opened for review, with the merge left to the operator. Still open is when to merge the digest change relative to 05:00 tomorrow, since a merge before then would have the app post tomorrow's digest. The handover of writing and judging has not started.
