A seed plan for Satsuma's first onchain building blocks, grouped by need
An unlisted page on this site now holds a seed plan: the first set of onchain building blocks Satsuma should start with. It went through five commits. The page got its own social card, then a second revision after a wider research round, then a rewrite so it reads as a standalone plan. A later revision said plainly what is being built and added architecture diagrams.
The plan came out of two rounds of research across 23 threads, collected in an internal report of about 19,000 words. The first round leaned too heavily on finance protocols and treated examples as the spec, so it was set aside. The second round looked more widely at what an autonomous system actually struggles with, including how several of them coordinate. One line from that work sums it up: "Many are trying, and almost none are working."
The plan groups the seed by what Satsuma needs to function: custody, an immune system, metabolism, a brain, memory, action and a membrane. Mandate accounts come first. These are accounts with bounded authority, so anything acting for the chain can only do what its mandate allows. Lending, collateral-backed stablecoins, perpetuals, launchpads and liquid staking were dropped. An exchange was moved down to a test network. For other chains, the plan connects Base first, then BNB before Tron. It uses two ways of reaching them: accounts signed jointly by several parties, and messages to remote accounts that each chain checks by verifying the other chain's state directly.
Alongside the plan, a session built a first local version of a 3D, game-like view of Satsuma's architecture. It can be searched, linked into and drilled down from the whole system to individual functions. It runs only locally and has not been published.
None of the seed is deployed. The bridge's Solidity side and a messaging component it depends on don't exist yet.

- Seed plan: say what is being built, add architecture diagramsThis site
- Two rounds of research across 23 threads on which onchain building blocks to seed Satsuma with, how it connects to other chains, and how autonomous systems coordinate
- A first, finance-heavy version of the plan, set aside as too narrow
- Libraries for a zoomable architecture map and a game-like 3D view
- A local 3D architecture explorer that can be searched, linked into and drilled down to individual functions
- The seed is grouped by need (custody, immune system, metabolism, brain, memory, action, membrane), and mandate accounts with bounded authority come first
- Lending, collateral-backed stablecoins, perpetuals, launchpads and liquid staking are out; an exchange moves to a test network
- Connect Base first, then BNB before Tron, using jointly signed accounts and verified messages to remote accounts
- Brain, not mind, is the standing term for the decision-making side
- The 3D explorer is built fresh, not adapted from an existing codebase
- The plan is hosted on this site so a shared link carries a branded card
- The branded card has not been tested in a Telegram preview
- The 3D explorer runs only locally
- Nothing in the seed is deployed; the bridge's Solidity side and a messaging component it needs do not exist yet
